symfony - Doctrine connection time out error in AWS RDS -

i trying connect aws rds aws ec2 application zend framwork app using doctrine module connect mysql. can successfuly connent aws rds database mysql workbench. appreciated. of stack traces:

is complex query? user has proper rights execute query?

don't think doctrine causing problem, it's outbound firewall of host you're executing query from. same machine workbench executed from?
